Hello, I am Madhura and welcome to MadhurasRecipe Marathi Let’s see how to make fruit cake from rava. Simple & rasy ingredients are needed. But this cake turns out awesome. To begin with take 1/2 cup curd in a bowl. Add 1 cup powdered sugar & mix well. Beat sugar & curd well. After mixing it well add 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 tsp baking soda & mix it well once more. After mixing curd, sugar & oil well it gets nice consistency like condensed milk. Add 1 1/2 cup fine rava, 1/4 cup maida & 1/2 tsp baking powder. Mix everything well first with curd. Basic mixture is ready. Add 1/2 cup milk to adjust the consistency. This is 1/4 cup milk. Will add 1/4 cup again. We want 1/2 cup milk & mix it well. The base is ready. Rest it for about 15-20 minutes after adding milk. So that rava will sock the moisture well. I had rested the batter for about 20 minutes. It has thickened up. Add just 2-3 tsp milk to adjust the consistency. Don’t add more milk. We don’t want runny batter. Add 1/2 tsp fruit essence. You can use vanilla essence in place of fruit essence. Mix well. It has got perfect consistency. Add about 1/4 cup tutti frutti. Leave few behind for decoration. After folding tutti frutti well into the batter, I have 6″ square tray. You can use aby shape tray. Before adding batter into it add few tuttu frutti at the base. Tutti frutti look good on base & topping of the cake. Pour batter. Line up tin at base with wax paper. If you don’t have wax paper then grease tin well with butter or oil. So that batter doesn’t stick. You also can use aluminium foil too. Add tutti frutti after adding the batter. It looks really nice. Tap the tin really good so that no air bubbles will be there Cake gets evenly baked. You can bake the cake in oven or in cooker. Add salt at the base of cooker. As I always tell you. Close the lid. Remove the ring & rubber gasket & preheat cooker for 10 minutes. After pre heating place a stand or an empty tin at its base. Put cake tin on it. Close the lid & bake the cake on low to medium heat for about 50-55 minutes. If you want to bake in oven Then pre heat oven at 150 Deg C. After pre heating put tin & cake gets baked in about 45-50 minutes. In case of built in oven both, upper & lower coil should be on. Insert tooth pick to check. If it comes out clean it means cake is baked well. Take cake out & let it cool down completely for about 20-25 minutes. Cake is looing nice. It has got nice, even color. I cooled it for about 20-25 minutes. Try not to take out hot cake out of the tin. As it is too hot inside. It may stick to the tray. So take it out when cools down completely. Perfect. I had kept wax paper as already told. It has come out nice form lower side too. It has got nice texture & even color too. Cut it into slices. I have used square tin. You can use any size of tin you want. You can use round too. Cake is looking really nice. Rava fruit cake is looking awesome. Fantastic color & texture. Will open a piece for you. Wow.
