    Looks like a great one-pot recipe.
    I've looked at over a dozen other one-pot recipes but yours is the one I feel most comfortable trying.
    But before I do, I just had a few questions:
    1. Can I chop 2-4 cloves of garlic instead of using a whole head?
    2. Is there something I can using in place of wine?
    3. If I wanted to add a green vegetable, what would you recommend? Broccoli? Spinach? When/how would I add it?
    4. Finally, how did you heat the five cups of chicken broth before adding it to the recipe?

  3. Made this twice this week. Good recipe! First time I made it I made it true to the recipe. My family loved it! To me it felt more like a side dish though. Almost like chicken flavored rice a roni but much much much better… So I just made it tonight again and I did everything the same except for I sauteed mushrooms up as well as the carrots and onion and no chicken. And then I added scallions when I served on plate. Used it as a side dish with glazed pork chops and garlic green beans. Yummmmmmm

  5. Hey just so I want to share my take on this recipe because I suited it to my preference

    – 1 1/2 pounds chicken leg meat boneless
    – 1/2 cup dry Parmesan cheese
    – 2 carrots (grated with a cheese grater to get the texture)
    – 1/2 an onion (I thought one was a bit much for two cups of rice)
    – 2 8oz boxes of mushrooms
    – 2 celery sticks thinly sliced
    – 2 cups jasmine rice
    – 4 cups chicken broth
    – 1 cup of milk (to add richness)
    – 1 tablespoon dried parsley (I didn't have fresh)
    – 2 tbs butter
    – whole garlic head
    – salt and pepper to taste
    – 1 cup of white wine
    – 2 bay leafs

    Thank you for this recipe! I loved it so much , being 17 and cooking for 5, this was quick and delicious!

  10. If you dont already you should definitely look into making your own chicken stock. It makes a world of difference taste wise over store bought stuff.

  11. Yummy recipe! My husband was slightly appalled at not using the garlic after it was cooked. We ended up peeling & pureeing the cooked garlic and adding it into the rice for extra flavor. Very tasty!

  14. I made this today! This was the first recipe I cooked in my new Dutch Oven and it turned out amazing! Only thing I changed was subbing Parmesan cheese for Pecorino Romano as a personal preference. Thank you for this great dish!

  17. I made it and it was absolutely delicious. The only thing I did differently was I didn’t really cook down the white wine cause I really like the taste of it in chicken, and I left the garlic in. Also didn’t add the Parmesan to the whole thing just individual bowls as I ate it so the pot wouldn’t be sticky.

  20. Yum can I use chicken breasts instead oh and instead of wine what can I use…lemon juice?…vinegar I cannot use 1 cup of lemon juice lol soo….vinegar and lemon juice

  22. I love chicken and rice. My mom makes it for me every other weekend and I eat whatever leftovers we have for lunch at school. Except the way she makes it, she doesn't put wine in it.

  23. Garbage recipe.. Garbage "cook"… Another eThot cook. Did not brown the chicken first… Added garlic with peal??? WTF.. Just add garlic you dumb twatwaffel. What was the garlic for to give a slight sent to the dish, only bloodhounds would know garlic was near the dish. WHITE PEOPLE WASH YOUR RICE BEFORE YOU COOK IT!!! Go start as a dishwasher at chilis because that is where you belong.

  24. What kind of flavor does wine add to this dish? I've never used wine in any of the dishes that I've cooked (beginner over here) but I'm seriously curious as to what happens to food when you add wine.
