How could a Value Chain Partnership make use of a grant?

An aquaculture business employing 14 people
already exports trays of chilled product to Singapore.
They have been approached to sell to a major supermarket chain with outlets across Southeast
Asia if they are able to cryovac and label their fish individually. Working with a packaging company and a transport
operator as their value chain partners they complete an Expression of Interest for a Food
Source Victoria Growth Grant. On this basis they are awarded a Planning
Grant, engage a business advisor, develop a Growth Plan and apply for a Growth Grant. The Growth Grant allows them to: Expand their system capacity;
Install a new packaging line; Train key staff, including five new employees;
and Support their transport operator to invest
in a new refrigerated vehicle. They see sales double over 18 months.
