Steam Cooking Food Basics : Steam Cooking Corn on the Cob

Hi my name is Uchendah Alete, and on behalf
of Expert, in this clip we will be going over how to steam corn. Now we are
going to steam some corn. Corn is really good for steaming, because boiling it takes a long
time, and it spends all that time in the water; so the water actually soggs and gets into
the corn itself. I’ve tasted a lot of people’s corn that wasn’t fully cooked. Steaming
just takes care of that easy. Let’s steam some corn. Okay you have your water here,
turn on the stove, then you add your strainer here, put in your corn and add the lid. Check
on it in about 15 or 20 minutes later and then your corn is ready.

  1. Ideally you would tell how to make sure it was cooked thoroughly since you mentioned you ate others' corn that wasn't cooked.
